What do you think about Italy?(格式)
Tile(標題): Italy in my eye(我眼中的義大利)
200~300 words
A day at my school
A day at my school
Andrea and Gary C(Italy and taiwan)"
(2008 intercultural dialogue)
5. Andrea
A day at my school

Italy in my eye(Daphne)
Italy is a great and beautiful place, not only Pompeii, or the view of this country. I think the most important reason is on the citizen. In Italy, everyone value '' peace'', they won't fight or argue. Compared to Italy, in Taiwan, many people fight for little things. If every Taiwan people are friendly to each other, Taiwan must be more beautiful!!! After talking with Andrea, I believe Andrea is a good and patient teacher, he always answers our question carefully, when I ask him some information about Pompeii, he answers me very quickly and correctly. Now I know Italy is not a country that didn’t have culture, and Pompeii Town is an excavation of civilization.
And San Flippo is a great school, too. Although it is very different then our school, but it take care to every students, and teachers are all affability. I bet every student is all happy to go to school, and learn a lot of things !
I haven’t been to Italy and San Flippo, but after reading the PowerPoint, I have more fantasy to Italy, the beautiful view, people’s friendly are all attracting me. I hope someday that I can travel to Italy, and Taiwan can be just like them!

Italy in my eye(Teresa)
After reading these report,I think Italy must be very beautiful, because after I finish reading all the report,I can almost think how does Italy looks like .Also,I think if I am Andrea's student,I must be very happy everyday, because he is a very patient teacher, example:Daphne asked Andrea a question about Pompeii,Andrea tells she:"Pompeii, which is in the South of Italy (Campania Region), my father Giuseppe was born in that same region. I have never visited Pompeii;it is linked to the Romans. I don't know why but they wanted to conquer the lands and people around them. At that time, Earth, Waters, Air and Fire around Pompeii suffered; the volcano erupted. It is a sad event."
I think Andrea likes to draw, because when he put reports on,he always puts many drawing on the reports. Also,I think there school must be very cool, because they has "full time"and"normal time".I think, if our school also have "full time"and"normal time",all the boys would like to chose normal time, because normal times time is : [08.30 to 12.30 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) and from 08.30 to 4.30 pm on Monday and Thursday.]but full times time is:[08.30 to 4.30 pm.every day].At last, I want to thanks to Andrea!!

Italy in my eye(Brian)
I think that Italy is a well organized and beautiful country. Their schools and buildings are very special and small, they seem to think Taiwan as an special or weird island. A lot of artists are from Italy, like Leonardo Da Vinci, Bernini, Donatello and Michelangelo. Andrea Mennella is a nice and patient person, he answers every question I posted on the blog, and some times asks me some questions. When I mentioned the island near Taiwan, Penghu, He actually told a tour to Penghu! Taiwan people usually have conflicts or argue a lot, but not like Italian people, they can listen and make suggestions, so they don’t have arguments and conflicts, Italians are also very kind, very generous and has a lot of patience. Andrea gave me lots of information on their and our country, if I were in Italy, I would collect some information on Italy’s history sites, and learn their culture. I would have a good time in Italy, because I could make some more friends, take pictures of the scenery, and breath some fresh air instead of unhealthy, smelly pollution. I think that Italy is far much better than Taiwan, I wish I could go there sometime.

That Andrea tell me: In Italy children usually like drinking milk, tea, fruit juices, coke.
That Andrea tell me: Fruit juices are wonderful, mainly during summer and when it's hot. Very good choice!

I think Italy is a peaceful country, and the students in their school are good at drawing, every answers from teacher Andrea have a picture from their students. In Italy the students like to play rugby, and there is no student play it at schoolso I find rugby's rule:
Main article: Comparison of rugby league and rugby union
Distinctive features common to both rugby codes (league and union) include the prolate spheroid ball and the ban on passing the ball forward, so that players can gain ground only by running with the ball or by kicking it. As the sport of rugby league moved further away from its union counterpart, rule changes were implemented with the aim of making a faster-paced, more try-oriented game, in the hope of increasing attendances at games.
Today, the main differences between the two games, besides league having teams of 13 players and union of 15, involve the tackle and its aftermath:
Union players contest possession following the tackle: depending on the situation, either a ruck or a maul occurs. League players may not contest possession after making a tackle: play is continued with a play-the-ball (AKA: "Scratch")
In league, if the team in possession fails to score before a set of six tackles, it surrenders possession. Union has no six-tackle rule; a team can keep the ball for an unlimited number of tackles before scoring as long as it maintains possession and does not commit an offence.
Set pieces of the union code include the scrum, where packs of opposing players push against each other for possession, and the lineout, where parallel lines of players from each team, arranged perpendicular to the touch-line (the side line) attempt to catch the ball thrown from touch (the area behind the touch-line).
In the league code, the scrum still exists, but with greatly reduced importance. Set pieces are generally started from the play-the-ball situation. Many of the rugby league positions have similar names and requirements to rugby union positions but there are no flankers in rugby league. The result of these variations have led to rugby union being considered a traditional form of rugby.
Because Italy is part of the European Union,so they can go to other countries easily, and they meet different countries people often.Taiwan is an island, all around it is sea,it is not so easy to go to others countries without visa. (come from Wikipedia)

Italy in my eye(Ryan)
Italy is located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe, and on the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Italy looks like a boot. Its capital is Rome, the country’s largest and most populous city, with more than 2.7 million residents.
Lots of well-known artists were born and raised here; including Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Donatello, Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Bernini, Titian and Raphael. There are many famous masterpieces, such as The Last Supper and Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci, The Last Judgment by Michelangelo. The other thing I like the most about Italy is Ferrari. Ferrari is made in Italy. My favorite models are Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Enzo Ferrari and Ferrari F430. They are all pretty cool sports cars. I wish I could buy them some day.
Andrea gave us lots of information about Italy, and we chat a lot. He taught us "Good morning" and "Hello! How are you?" in Italian. To learn Italian is fun. I wish Andrea will come to Taiwan to see us.
